Resort 2014: My Top 2 Picks.

It was incredibly difficult to pick only 2 looks from all my favorite collections, but here is my choice!
Did you notice that some of my favorites are still missing? Oh well, I guess it's because I couldn't make a choice for them and you'll see the result of it soon. Maybe until then I can make a better choice than "top 20 per collection". Narrowing it to top 10 would already be incredible. Stay tuned for that one.
Can you guess which collections were my absolute favorites this Resort Season?
FYI: It's not that much of a surprise actually.

Let's stick with these beauties for a second:

The Carven Woman grew up a little and keeps on growing as it seems.  (Unfortunately?)
3.1 Phillip Lim makes me wanna wear camel and light blue combinations.
Loving pleats and fringes at Alexander Wang.
Acne makes you want to wear a corset over a suit and is too cool for this planet. As usual.
Transparent Sweatshirts and strict silhuettes at DKNY.
T by Alexander Wang is challenging my inner boy. Btw: Who is this AMAZING model?
Givenchy = Awesomeness. Enough said.
N°21 is everyones new favorite little darling with collections that get better and better. This one included.

GetTheGloss: My Beauty Essentials.

A picture zoomed like this doesn't forgive a thing!
I might not be perfect, but I do have my beauty essentials to keep my skin as good as possible!
(Blaming the winter for my dry lips on the picture right now.)

Uh-Oh Prada.

It's funny how I really did not like this collection the first time I saw it, and over time I appreciated it more and more, ending up loving every piece of it.
Trying on these beauties above today in town was definitely a mistake: Another one on my endless wish list.  I decided to play some poker and wait until the sales - let's see if these are going to be sold out by then! ...My Budget hopes so, my endless Fashion Fascination hopes not.

The Power of Clothes.

This is probably the most interesting shoot I've done in a long time. Not only the pictures are incredible, but what I find the most interesting is how I adapted myself to the different outfits I was wearing. It almost seemed like every single one showed one side of my personality, and it shows so clearly in the poses - don't you think so? Let's make some wild guesses - which one reflects me the most?

I came to the shoot that day not knowing what brands were chosen for me, and we started with Saint Laurent Paris, and we all know how I feel about that. I felt quite disguised in the clothes, since the outfit was not something I would ever consider wearing, and looking at the pictures it makes sense that I used my hands so much in these shots - it's almost like I wanted to cover myself because it made me shy. The photographer, Yuanyi Zhang, made an awesome job capturing my own natural interpretation of the clothes, which to me was the most surprising experience in this shoot.
I think the one I felt the most confortable in was the Dries van Noten outfit, because it's just something that I would buy and wear in a heartbeat - the skirt and the shirt were exactly my taste and it probably is how people see me from the outside too, it's funny how much energy I have in that picture - I'd even say that this picture describes me how I am a lot....yes, also very stubborn sometimes:)
Finally Dior and Givenchy - I think these ones released my inner princess - dark and light version.
It's amazing how wearing clothes can make you feel differently, can make you move in different ways, look at the camera in different ways and even make you feel differently. That day one thing was for sure about how I felt - like a really lucky girl, being able to wear all these beautiful pieces.

Thousand thanks to Joyce HK for the amazing project, Yuanyi Zhang and Xavier Ancarno for their patience and incredible pictures, and to Ciao Shen & Yann Boussand Larcher for impeccable hair and make-up.

First outfit by Givenchy and Dior, second one left by Saint Laurent Paris, second one right by Dries van Noten, third one left by Givenchy, third one right by Christian Dior, and in the last portrait I'm wearing Saint Laurent Paris again.

The Perfect Suit.

This suit makes me incredibly happy! You know why? Simple - Because it's the first suit ever that I can actually wear. With the matching trousers. I have so much trouble with trousers that you usually only see me in jeans - because they fit me the best! But this one looks perfectly good on me and I want to wear it every day: No bigger hips, not too long, not too short, I don't know how they did it, but the Kooples finally made it possible for me to wear a suit ensemble. And I already wanted to give up looking for it - but after 5 years I got my reward. Now, The Kooples: Make that one in every color possible please. Thank you!

Suit - The Kooples / Shirt - Vintage / Hat - Vintage / Shoes - Lanvin / Hair - gets longer and longer every day! :)

Christian Dior Resort 2014

It seems to me that Raf Simons gets better and better at Dior. The vibrant colors and contrasts, the cuts, the fabrics, the shoes, the bags.... and hey - did anyone notice that he even used lace - big surprise! Everything was perfect once again. The sun was supposed to shine in Monaco - but don't you think that the rain makes the atmosphere infinitely better? Last seasons location was a dream come true - this one seemed even better.
Mr. Simons, all my respect. You blew my mind once again.

A girls best friend.

Another wishlist! This time a little bit more expensive one than usually;)
It's funny how I work: I fall in love with certain pieces and have them on "my list" forever. I guess for most of these pieces it's actually really going to be forever. Well, let's dream a bit.

From far left, clockwise:

1. Balenciaga Watch: I know, I know, I already have that one in two colors (for al the people who asked)  but ever since I saw this one, I can't get it out of my head anymore. Best watches ever.

2. Cartier Love Bracelet: Oh my, the number 1 on my list, for so long already. I love the one with a few diamonds, of course. I love everything that glitters!

3. Rodarte Dragon Earring: Remember that one from the Spring/Summer 2013 show? How amazing it looked on Jessica Stam? I definitely do!

4. AS29 Flower Ring: So delicate and available in plenty of colors! I've been staring at it "forever"...well, my kind of forever.

5. Repossi Berbère Earring: Been staring at these beauties forever too. For a change. For donations: Every size and color is okay with me. The whole collection is just to die for. Rings included.

6. Chanel First Watch: That one has been love at second sight! It would be a nice contrast to the bigger and heavier Balenciaga ones. (I'm not actually complaining. That would be too much.) Love the white version with diamonds the most.

7. Givenchy Earring: For my inner Lisbeth Salander. I just think these are so cool, especially to combine with classic outfits like suits, or purely girly ones: perfect with a little flower dress!

8. Repossi Ring: Matching the delicate AS29 flower ring. Another delicate one, timeless and beautiful. The kind of Jewel I would see myself wearing for a long long time.

9.  Bijules Ring: Very minimalistic, it always reminds me of claws around my finger. That one in silver please?

10. Dior Bois de Rose ring: You all know that I never take my "oui" ring off, it's my lucky charm! I like the Bois de Rose collection, it's so romantic and girly, perfect to combine with the "oui" one.

11. AS29 Flower Earrings: Just because they are so beautiful. Look at these colors! You should check ou the red ones, just wow.

Once Upon A Time.

Keira as Coco by Karl.
What a marvelous short movie, I can't stop watching it!
I love how Karl Lagerfeld manages it every time to transport people into other worlds. And Keira, as usual, is just pure perfection.
By the way: How beautiful is her hair in this movie?!
Take a look at this, it's worth it.

Hidden Treasures.

First (and only so far ) warm day this "spring"! So before going back to the grey, rainy days I decided that it's time for the kind of outfit that you hide like a treasure in your closet, just to take it out when the timing is perfect and the weather allows it: Tadaaa. I'm totally in love with this Sandro ensemble, I don't even need to start with the shirt (because you all know my endless love for silky, printed shirts) and these jackets - they are really the best when it comes to make endless variations of these round collared, boxy and slightly baseball inspired jackets. A welcome change to the more classic suits I like to wear, and hey, for that one: there's even glitter on it. This is definitely going to be one of my favorite summer suits!
Let's all hope that spring is going to arrive soon - because right now it still feels like winter. Usually I prefer winter to summer, but right now I'm craving lazy afternoons at the Tuileries!

Jacket, Shirt & Shorts - Sandro / Clutch - Givenchy / Shoes - Balenciaga / Ring - Maison Martin Margiela / Bracelets - Hermès & Isabel Marant
